Torture Pie

Torture Pie is an expression of fabrication, but on a much smaller scale. This image is from a continuing series where I attempt to create a feel for the full environment based on a single hand. This hand is from a twisted character attempting to cut off their own finger in the process cooking a meal, who is this meal for, why is this individual adding their own flesh and blood to the menu? This image is less about harm to one’s self and leans more in the direction of irrationalism of the fantasy world.

Beneath The Floors; At 4 AM We Are Too Afraid To Leave Our Rooms

Beneath The Floors; It Comes at Night is an image of some kind of entity, perhaps sinister, haunting a home in the early hours of the morning. This image is based on my irrational fears when I was young; I thought the creaking sounds in our home were due to a “thing” living in our floors, instead of the rational explanation that our house was old. This image plays off children’s fears. The theme of glowing objects circulates throughout a lot of my photographic work, I use it to emphasize objects, but also to connect them in this idea of Mere’s Reality, my mind’s eye.
